Want to take your electrical engineering career to the next level? This thorough two-year course will give you the skills to help you progress to electrical engineering in a future managerial role. You’ll learn about inspection, testing, safety and electricity power systems, as well as Engineering maths units 1-4, giving you a good grounding as an innovative, future-ready engineering professional.
Course description
In this HND Electrical Engineering course, you'll complete a range of units such as:
- DC and AC principles
- Electrical machine principles
- Application of electrical and electronic instruments
- Three phase systems
- Electricity power systems
- Communication
- Engineering mathematics 1
- Electrical engineering graded unit 1
- Electrical safety
- Inspection and testing of low-voltage installations
- Engineering Maths 1 – 4 will be delivered during the two years of the course.
Entry requirements
- Minimum of one Higher, or equivalent, from Mathematics or Physics. Please note that Applications of Maths is not accepted; OR
- NC in Electrical Engineering Level 6, or equivalent; OR
- We'll consider your application if you have relevant experience but no formal qualifications.
